Safety Awareness & Legal Literacy Training
About the Programme
Mahajnan Intellectuals successfully conducted a Safety Awareness & Legal Literacy Training Program at Sir M. V. Government Arts & Commerce College, Bhadravathi, Karnataka, to educate students about legal rights, responsibilities, and safety in academic and professional environments.
The session was delivered by Advocate Harshitha Rani Mahendrakar, who explained important topics such as labour laws, employee rights and responsibilities, the PoSH Act (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), basic laws for citizens, procedures to respond to illegal activities, and the process of filing complaints through proper legal channels. The program helped students build legal awareness, confidence, and responsible decision-making skills for real-world situations.
The event was well supported by Dr. Uma T. G., Dr. Manasa S. K., Principal Dr. Shailaja Hosaller, and faculty members, and was attended by many students. The successful program was also featured in the Kannada daily newspaper Vijaya Karnataka (Main Edition, 21 Feb 2026, Page 2), highlighting the initiative taken to promote legal awareness among students.
